About Krazyfingaz

The self-taught instrumentalist and mix engineer was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, but before beat making, creating original samples, engineering, or even being known by the pseudonym Krazyfingaz; Theodore Baylor, the soon-to-be producer’s musical journey would begin at the early age of 10 as he was a member of the youth choir at Gwynn Oak United Methodist Church, where he attended with his grandparents. Years later, as a teenager, he would not only be inspired by the likes of Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, De La Soul, Jay Dee (Dilla), Slum Village, and many rappers and groups during that time to write and emcee, but also by his cousin, who he looked up to. His cousin wrote poetry and rapped, introducing Theodore to Hip Hop at a young age and becoming a major influence. After watching his friends engage in cyphers during lunch and after school at Southwestern Senior High School, he began putting his thoughts on paper in rhyme form. It wasn’t until a best friend, who also rapped, heard him spit a verse and convinced him to form a group that Theodore began taking music more seriously. After some time rapping over industry instrumental CDs they purchased, both realized they needed original beats but lacked access to producers or equipment. Without the means for an MPC, a copy of PlayStation’s MTV Music Generator was purchased and given to him by his good friend and group member—and that’s where KF was introduced to music production. After the group eventually went their separate ways musically, Krazyfingaz would go on to learn to use more advanced programs and hardware to hone his craft in music production. Those skills built his confidence, leading him to release instrumental projects, participate in beat battles, collaborate with other artists and producers, and craft original samples and design sounds for his music library, Four Twelve Alumn. Taking the initiative to learn the basics of mixing eventually led KF to work on not only his personal projects but also to having his services requested by other creatives. As a proud Audio Production alumnus of Full Sail University, Krazyfingaz continues to push his creative boundaries.
